How to Choose the Correct Quick Release Axle

Follow these simple steps to determine the correct Quick Release Axle (QRA) length for your wheelchair:

  1. Measure the Wheel Hub Width
    Measure your current wheel from bearing to bearing (outside of one bearing to the outside of the opposite bearing).

  2. Measure the Axle Receiver
    Measure the length of the axle receiver mounted on the wheelchair frame where the quick release axle inserts and locks into place.

  3. Add Both Measurements
    Add the wheel hub width + axle receiver length to determine the approximate effective axle length you need.

Important: Always verify the axle diameter (such as 1/2" or 12 mm) in addition to the axle length before ordering.
