    Product Description

    Make solid wheelchair tire installation more manageable with the M040E Economy Tire Installation Tool, designed to provide the leverage needed to stretch tight solid tires onto compatible rims. It gives you a purpose-built alternative to trying to force a stiff polyurethane tire into place by hand.

    Solid tires are intentionally smaller than the rims they fit so they remain under compression after installation. The M040E helps control that stretching process across several common manual wheelchair tire sizes while keeping the work centered around a dedicated mounting tool.

    Because solid tire installation requires significant force, careful technique is important. Warm water may be used to soften a tire before mounting, and improvised metal tools such as screwdrivers should be avoided because they can slip, mark the wheel, or create an injury hazard.
