    Product Description

    Take on everyday mobility with these 24" (540mm) 16 Spoke Aluminum Rear Wheels, featuring Schwalbe Marathon Plus Pneumatic Tires and Inner Tubes with black anodized aluminum handrims. Designed for strength, durability, and responsive rolling performance, these wheels combine lightweight double-wall aluminum rims with a specialized spoke configuration to support a variety of wheelchair activities.

    Each wheel features eight 12-gauge straight-pull spokes on the inside of the hub and eight cross-laced J-bend spokes on the outside. The straight-pull spokes help improve side-load integrity when cambering the wheels, while the cross-laced spokes support rotational strength. Equipped with 1/2" sealed precision bearings, a 1.875" bearing-to-bearing hub width, and 6-tab aluminum handrims, these assemblies provide a complete rear wheel replacement for compatible manual wheelchairs.

    The Schwalbe Marathon Plus pneumatic tires feature an air-filled design with inner tubes for comfortable rolling performance. Their puncture-resistant construction provides additional protection against flats while maintaining the cushioning benefits of pneumatic tires.

    Axle Compatibility and Measurement

    To determine whether your existing axle is compatible, add the 1.875" wheel hub width to the width of your wheelchair's axle carrier tube and any spacers being used. Compare this total with the usable length of your existing axle.

    • Quick-Release Axles: Measure from the underside of the adjustment nut to the beginning of the retractable locking ball. Many quick-release axles allow up to approximately 1/4" of length adjustment.
    • Conventional Hex-Head Axles: Measure from the underside of the axle head to the end of the axle, allowing additional length for the retaining nut.
